Crowdsourced Surveys Initiative

Why Crowdsource Surveys?

Traditional surveys often struggle to capture the underrepresented cross-section of the population, typically over-emphasizing responses from more accessible urban areas. This can lead to the voices of underrepresented people not being heard. Crowdsourced surveys can bridge this gap by using our collective interpersonal networks on platforms like WhatsApp to contact and recruit these groups. This approach is particularly effective in reaching under-represented populations such as those in rural and semi-rural areas, tier 2 and tier 3 towns, women, the elderly, and other underrepresented groups, fostering more informed reporting and decision-making.

How Can You Help?

Participating in our surveys and spreading them through your networks helps us to increase our reach and improve the representativeness of our data. Your involvement is crucial to helping us understand and address the needs of diverse communities effectively. As a token of our appreciation, you will be rewarded for your participation in the study.

Ethical Standards

All our survey projects adhere to the highest ethical standards and have received IRB approval, ensuring that all research activities are conducted with the utmost respect for participant welfare. The IRB, or Institutional Review Board, reviews all research involving human subjects to ensure ethical standards are maintained. We do not collect any personally identifiable data.

Authenticity and Trust

Given the frequency of fraudulent schemes targeting individuals throughout India, it is imperative to meticulously verify the source of any survey. Ensure the authenticity of each outreach effort by confirming the source's credibility through publicly verifiable channels. Notably, our website is hosted on a Rutgers.edu domain, underscoring our affiliation with Rutgers University. Official communications from our project are sent exclusively from the phone number +1 848-437-1315. We urge you to always validate the legitimacy of any outreach through these established channels to protect yourself against potential scams.
